Hi friend,
This past year, you showed up. Not perfectly. Not always knowing what you were doing. But you showed up anyway. You read these words. You sent messages. You shared your stories. You let me see you, and me with you.
Thank you for that. In a world that keeps speeding up, that kind of showing up is rare.
Thank you for being here, in this strange little corner of the internet where we talk about stuff, the patterns, the human code we’re all running, the gap between who we’ve become and who we’re becoming.
Now it’s a few days away from 2026.
And I don’t have goals. I have intentions.
Goals are what we chase. Intentions are how we move.
Goals say: Get there.
Intentions say: How do we want to move through it?
Here’s what I know about being more human
I conducted 150 one-on-one interviews for my second book, Shareology, to understand and develop a model for how we can communicate with impact.
I discovered one glaring, repeated answer from all my interviews that rose to the top.
We share to connect with others.
So that begs the question: what’s your intention in how you share?
Start by exploring and setting your intention.
Intentions for being more human in 2026
The work:
I intend to notice when I’m performing instead of being present.
I intend to ask the question no one is asking.
I intend to lead from my whole self, not just the parts that look good in meetings.
I intend to work spaciously.
In life:
I intend to let people see me in the middle of things, not just at the end.
I intend to stop treating my humanity like a bug that needs fixing and start treating it like the feature that makes everything else work.
I intend to remember that connection isn’t efficient, and that’s exactly the point.
I intend to be here. Actually here.
What this actually looks like
It looks like texting a friend, not because you have news or need something, but because you thought of them and wanted them to know.
It looks like choosing the conversation over efficiency, the question over certainty.
The human moment over the smooth transaction.
It looks like operating differently because you’ve decided being more human is the strategy, not the thing that gets in the way of the strategy.
The thing about 2026
This is the year the machines get even smarter (no surprise). They’ll write better. Think faster. Solve problems we haven’t even named yet. And that’s ok.
I believe being human
is your
competitive advantage
more now than ever.
Because the machines don’t have unique taste or human preference.
They can’t sit with someone in their uncertainty, eyeball to eyeball. They can’t hold space for the thing that hasn’t been said yet.
That’s ours to hold.
So here’s my own intention for 2026
I intend to keep showing up here, saying the things that matter, asking the questions that open conversations.
I intend to keep being the person who sees blind spots as invitations.
And I’ll keep thanking you for being here with me.
This weekly letter is my favorite part of the week.
And your engagement, whether just reading it, replying, commenting, or sharing in any micro moments, matters more than you know.
Thank you for being part of 2025.
Onward to 2026.
Stay human
